Fire & Flavour is a hands-on class all about understanding heat and getting the very best from your pan. You’ll learn how to achieve the perfect sear on steak, cook scallops beautifully, create impressive flambé-style sauce and finish with caramelised pineapple.
Along the way, our chefs will show you the techniques that make restaurant food taste so good from controlling temperature and resting meat to building rich, buttery pan sauces.

Pasta After Dark is our relaxed evening Italian experience where you’ll learn how to create beautiful handmade pasta before turning it into some of Italy’s most iconic dishes.
You’ll master fresh pasta dough, learn the secrets behind a silky carbonara and perfect the simplicity of cacio e pepe — where just a handful of ingredients have nowhere to hide.
We’ll finish the evening with an indulgent Italian-inspired dessert, all prepared without needing an oven.

At Winchester cookery school our back to uni class is designed to give students the confidence and skills and go to recipes they actually need for real life. Whether its cooking on a budget, prepping meals in advance or impressing new housemates this class covers it all with a fun, relaxed and hands on approach.
